Urban-related data and geographic information are becoming mainstream in the Linked Data Community. This raise is also due to the increasing popularity of Location-based Services on mobile devices. In this thesis, we propose some mobile "games with a purpose" concepts that explore data linkage and assement of data quality/trustworthiness in an urban environment. We develop one of these prototypes (called UrbanMatch) in order to evaluate its ability to achieve the purpose proposed and the impact that it has on the players. Putting together Linked Data about Urban Environments and Games with a Purpose, we created a new way to consume and produce location-specific linked data involving and engaging the players. This thesis is also a project by CEFRIEL sponsored by the Corporate Research and Technologies unit of Siemens AG. A Paper about UrbanMatch was published in Proceedings of the 5th Workshop on Linked Data on the Web co-located with WWW 2012
