Progetto di consolidamento strutturale del Castello di Bruzolo : osservazioni in cantiere, analisi, riflessioni e integrazioni

The work was created with the aim of documenting the works carried out on site during the structural consolidation project of the Bruzolo Castle, a historical and important artefact not only for the history of the town but also and above all for the unfolding of war events in the entire Val of Susa, the place where the building is located. Born as a fortress and transformed into a stately residence, the Castle needs structural reinforcements to allow us and posterity to enjoy this treasure and use its spaces in an adequate and safe manner. In fact, its history began around the year 1000 and after various transformations and changes, it has reached our times with not a few disruptions and problems that need to be treated in some way. It was thus decided to integrate other investigations and deductions relating to the state of the internal surfaces and their deterioration into the works and documentation carried out on site during construction, so as not only to be able to have a more complete overall picture , but above all to be able to have an increasingly clear map of the history of Bruzolo Castle, its original form and its changes up to today. To conclude, it is always useful to highlight how the reuse of a building directly and indirectly involves greater care and therefore less rapid and more contained degradation, for this reason it was decided to include a small and schematic project for the refunctionalization of the building, with the hope that material goods like this can be preserved in the most correct way for both today's and future generations.

L’elaborato nasce con lo scopo di documentare i lavori eseguiti in cantiere durante il progetto di consolidamento strutturale del Castello di Bruzolo, manufatto storico e importante non solo per la storia del paese ma anche e soprattutto per lo svolgersi degli eventi bellici dell’intera Val di Susa, luogo in cui l’edificio si colloca. Nato come fortezza e trasformato in residenza signorile, il Castello ha bisogno di rinforzi strutturali per poter permettere a noi e ai posteri di poter godere di questo tesoro e usufruire dei suoi spazi in maniera adeguata e sicura. La sua storia nasce infatti intorno all’anno 1000 e dopo diverse trasformazioni e cambiamenti, è giunto fino alla nostra epoca non con pochi dissesti e problematiche che hanno la necessità di essere in qualche modo curati. Si è così deciso di integrare ai lavori e alle documentazioni fatte in sito durante le lavorazioni in cantiere, altre indagini e deduzioni relative allo stato delle superfici interne e al degrado delle stesse, in modo non solo di poter avere un quadro d’insieme più completo, ma soprattutto per poter avere una mappa sempre più chiara della storia del Castello di Bruzolo, della sua forma originaria e dei suoi cambiamenti fino ad oggi. Per concludere, è sempre utile evidenziare come il riuso di un edificio ne comporti direttamente e indirettamente una maggiore cura e quindi un degrado meno veloce e più contenuto, per questo motivo si è deciso di inserire un piccolo e schematico progetto di rifunzionalizzazione del manufatto, con la speranza che beni materiali come questo possano essere preservati nella maniera più corretta sia per le generazioni di oggi sia per quelle future.
