Abstract
A land as the site of the project with a length of almost 4 km and a width of 1 km is located near the island of Mykonos in the middle of the Mediterranean sea as a part of the Cyclades archaeiplago, which is an island of Greece. The island was called Ortigia (Delos) in antiquity, which was already inhabited since 3000 BC. It is an archaeological site that contains a history of thousands of culture and way of life that reveals itself through the architecture and morphology of the context. The corresponding architecture points out the beginning and end of a period and the spaces in which people had lived in. Project’s approach towards Delos is a treatment that it is a large open-air museum that each ruin tells its story. As such, its main idea and the studies on the morphology of Delos have been considered the two mountains the lowest and the highest Mountain as two frames of a canvas that contain all the architectures, which define the beginning and the end of the architectural context that traces the itinerary of the project that relates to the whole history of the island. The place of the project is mainly based on the study of the relationship of full and empty space in the architectural language of the island that is behind every significant and important architecture exist. An empty space, which gives the buildings' legibility as Italian Agora and the sanctuaries of Apollo and the role of the soil development that formed the morphology of the island's context. The project is composed of one of the series of architecture that it comes as a connection from the house of hermes to the theater, which as if it were the real theater began from the house of hermes and a hierarchy in height and in continuation of the relationship with the house of Hermes with the ground that the atrium are supported on the ground of the project is built into a space that defines the traces of the ruins that consists of a secondary space and a passage space and lookout point that relates to the com home location of Hermes that underline and focus on it and can be reached at the theater colina that through a porch that follows the progress of the terrain and has a strong relationship with the landscape of the island d arrives at the node of the project the wall of tirasus that goes underground to get to the gallery follows the spirit of the archaeological site that each excavation reveals a part of the story, in reality the gallery has the role as if it had a bridge and with its exit to the theater a chain of the architecture that starts from the house of Hermes goes on with a rhythm up to the theater, the presence of the place of the project at the same time completes a border of the architectures that create an empty space behind the theater as the empty spaces behind each architecture important that he used as a language of the morphology of the architectural context of the island of Delos.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
