Abstract

The researcher is the man inside the labyrinth, always seeking an uncertain center DAVIDE LE BRETON, The Taste of the World The knowledge here contained lays its foundation on research, the insatiable curiosity of all mankind to explore the unknown, as the astronaut Buzz Aldrin would say. The subject was defined thanks to an intuition, a mixture, coming from the world of sound and matter. It was while studying Cymatics, the science that studies the sound made visible, that I came across the idea of sound able to interact with matter, tangible sound, a new way of considering it and not just like an ephemeral soundwave. The aim was, and still is, to build a translating method to help deaf people be able to perceive and understand the nature of sound, so in this way feel the same sensations as a hearing person but by using the remaining senses. If the doors of perception were cleansed, every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. WILLIAM BLAKE To make this possible it was necessary to study the whole spectrum of perceptions, to understand them, and it is in this way that the second part of this book starts: with a study about the human senses.
