In this thesis a vending machine is improved for EC Commercialization in European Market. After getting acquainted with the CE Marking process, necessary data was collected by getting familiarized with “Self Matic” system composition and technical descriptions. Relevant directives were detected by reading their scope, protection and administrative requirements of each directive were gathered also Identifying applicable harmonised standards and their requirements as a voluntary step. Assessments to risks were done by using ISO 12100 machinery risk mitigation harmonised standard: hazard identification, risk estimation/evaluation, applying protective measures due to standards (reducing the risk). At the end, by matching the applied safety measures form the ISO 12100 standard with protection requirements of directives, it is seen that not only protection requirements of relative directives are satisfied, but also in a consistent and systematic way many system safety measures are covered which were not required by relevant directives. This result is more general than this application case and is valid for machinery-like products that do not follow in the scope of machinery directive by lacking the drive system.

Abstract
This result is more general than this application case and is valid for machinery-like products that do not follow in the scope of machinery directive by lacking the drive system.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
