The aims of this Master Thesis work are the feasibility analysis of electro-mechanical self-energizing disc brake and the development of innovative actuation technique. The motivation of this thesis is due to the fact that the conventional braking systems have the following drawbacks: heavy components, hazardous braking fluid and limited braking force utilization. Besides, the controllability can be further improved if the braking operation can be performed with electrical signals. The braking energy demand for electrically actuated brake system is so high and cannot be provided by the current automotive electrical network, hence, the use of self-energizing effect become necessary in the Electro-Mechanical brake system.

Abstract
The aims of this Master Thesis work are the feasibility analysis of electro-mechanical self-energizing disc brake and the development of innovative actuation technique. The motivation of this thesis is due to the fact that the conventional braking systems have the following drawbacks: heavy components, hazardous braking fluid and limited braking force utilization. Besides, the controllability can be further improved if the braking operation can be performed with electrical signals. The braking energy demand for electrically actuated brake system is so high and cannot be provided by the current automotive electrical network, hence, the use of self-energizing effect become necessary in the Electro-Mechanical brake system.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
