In this thesis, we present the design and implementation of MPTCP over private SDN networks and public Internet using LISP. MPTCP is a protocol that runs on the host and it is not aware of the underlying network. We show how MPTCP can utilize the network infrastructure to achieve end-to-end performance improvement. We evaluate different path selection algorithms for MPTCP and compare the performance gain of MPTCP over standard TCP.
