Abstract
In architecture the problem of protection, custody and transmission of historical memory is always the topic of heated debate and Italy is historically one of the main playing fields of this dialectic. Perched on the ruins of irresponsible and criminal attacks on its historical heritage, the Italian legislation has been weighed down in recent decades of a stifling regulatory system. Oriented to inhibit tampering of their historic centers in the name of conservation, the legislative body is condemning these arrest and, ultimately, death. The fact is that To date, the majority of Italian municipalities of medium or small dimension, witnessing a gradual and inexorable abandonment of its historical centers. But when an extraordinary event, even dramatic or calamitous stop this mechanism, such scenarios are opened in front of designers? On the night of May 20, 2012 an earthquake shakes northern Italy, razing hundreds of buildings and reducing precious historical centers in ragged piles of rubble. The current economic crisis makes it difficult to reconstruct, forcing designers to a fundamental question: is it possible that contemporary man, in contexts not entirely untouched, can propose an architectural solution that goes beyond the mere restoration? The following thesis sets itself the goal of identifying and rethink the gaps generated by the earthquake which occasions designed to revitalize the historic old town of Crevalcore, one of the municipalities most affected by the earthquake, in a new key key cultural and economic, in order to generate possibilities of use that were previously unimaginable or unexplored. Through the recovery of small urban centers in fact you can not not see the opportunity to build a polycentric spread system of smartcities, throughout the territory of the Via Emilia. A new widespread urban metropolis capable, thanks to the excellence of present and spread throughout the region, to promote a new process of development and economic growth. The thesis work was therefore aimed at defining a project that realise many architectural devices capable of tune in the city, within a scenario of post emergency, on contemporary and dynamics frequencies. made of temporality, lightweight, smart tecnology and personalized experience.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
