Between nature and artifice : new landscape for Tenerife

In the age of constant development and rapid population growth, when more than half of land and water resources on Earth have been used by mankind, we have reached this point, when the need to reconsider our way of living and interacting with nature is so urgent, that it is necessary to start today to save the planet we live in. Contemporary urban design faces completely new set of questions, aiming to design for nature as well as for human. The focus of the project is to establish the strategy that will allow for natural and artificial landscapes to coexist and integrate, both by establishing boundaries and creating connections between them. The final solution lays somewhere in-between nature and artifice, forming a new integrative landscape. The design site is located in Tenerife, Spain.

Nell'età di sviluppo costante e rapida crescita della popolazione, quando più della metà della terra e delle risorse idriche sulla Terra sono stati utilizzati dall'umanità, abbiamo raggiunto questo punto, quando la necessità di riconsiderare il nostro modo di vivere e di interagire con la natura è così urgente, che è necessario per iniziare oggi, per salvare il pianeta in cui viviamo. La progettazione urbana contemporanea si pone una nuova serie di domande, volte a progettare per la natura e per l'uomo. L'obiettivo del progetto è di stabilire la strategia che consentirà ai paesaggi artificiali e naturali di convivere e integrarsi, stabilendo i confini e creando connessioni tra di loro. La soluzione finale risiede tra natura e artificio creando un nuovo paesaggio piu' integrato. L' area di progettazione si trova a Tenerife, in Spagna.
