Costruzione e valutazione di interventi di valorizzazione dei beni culturali mediante il metodo choice experiment. Il caso del Castello Vallaise ad Arnad in Valle d'Aosta

This thesis, by the use of the method Choice Experiment, is intended to build and evaluate measures for enhancement of the Castle Vallaise Arnad. The thesis consists of three phases; in the first part the focus was in the work of analysis of the historical evolution of the building in question, retracing the several interventions and overlays from the XVI to the present.The gaze is then extended to the context in which it entered the Castle, with attention to classification territorial, cultural heritage and accommodation facilities in the area. The second phase gives an overview of the different techniques for the estimation of cultural heritage with special attention to Conjoint Analysis Choice Experiments.The third phase, through the construction of the questionnaire on the property in question, has led to locate the Total Economic Value of the property (VET) and the Value of Transformation. The work ends with an indication of possible interventions of valorisation of the Castle Vallaise acts to add it in a stream of life so to speak 'modern', providing it with new functions that will revitalize the cultural point of view, landscape and history.

Questo lavoro, tramite l’uso del metodo Choice Experiment, è finalizzato a costruire e valutare interventi di valorizzazione del Castello Vallaise ad Arnad. Il lavoro si svolge in tre fasi; nella prima parte ci si è concentrati nel lavoro di analisi dell’evoluzione storica dell’edificio in questione, ripercorrendo i numerosi interventi e sovrapposizioni dal XV secolo ad oggi. Lo sguardo si è poi allargato verso il contesto nel quale è inserito il Castello, con attenzione all’inquadramento territoriale, al patrimonio culturale e alle strutture ricettive della zona. La seconda fase dà una panoramica delle diverse tecniche per la stima dei beni culturali con una attenzione particolare alla Conjoint Analysis Choice Experiments. La terza fase, tramite la costruzione del questionario sul bene in oggetto, ha portato ad individuare il Valore Economico Totale del bene (VET) e il Valore di Trasformazione. Il lavoro si conclude con l’indicazione di possibili interventi di valorizzazione del Castello Vallaise atti ad inserirlo in un flusso di vita per così dire ‘moderna’, dotandolo di nuove funzioni che lo rivitalizzino dal punto di vista culturale, paesaggistico e storico.
