Nightscapes. Nocturnal usages of urban spaces. The urban nightlife functions interaction with physical spaces of the city

The thesis endeavors to explore the influence and the interaction among people and urban spaces during night- time. In other words it takes into consideration the different and various ways, in which urban nightlife and leisure are experienced by its users, and also their approaches and consequently their behaviors and interaction with night and the city itself. The thesis will mainly explore the subject matter theoretically and practically, and tries to extract some of the main characteristics and aspects, which we are facing in the contemporary cities.

Questa tesi si sforza di esplorare l'influenza e l'interazione tra le persone e gli spazi urbani durante le ore notturne, in altre parole prende in considerazione in diversi modi in cui la città viene vissuta dai sui abitanti, o utilizzatori occasionali, i loro approcci ed i comportamenti propri delle interazioni tra le attività ricreative notturne e la città stessa. La tesi ha lo scopo di esplorare l’oggetto sopraindicato sia in via teorica che pratica, e cercherà di estrapolare alcune caratteristiche comuni e gli aspetti principali che “quotidianamente” si riscontrano nelle città contemporanee.
