In the last decades we can see urban variations and innovative proposals for new forms of living, which reveal a situation of urban crises and propose again some important questions about the history of the city: what kind of city and for whom? How can we renew the city giving more power to urban and social relations? And what is the role that plays the residence? It is in this context that the research RI-formare Milano has identified a number of buildings and brownfield sites to redesign: Piazza S. Maria del Suffragio and the ex municipal market, the corner building opposite the church, the ex "cinema Luce" and the empty area of Via Bezzecca. The urban strategy proposal also provides for the inclusion of Via Bezzecca, considered the most logical way capable of putting together and connect the two systems. The project is organized as a network of spaces that accentuates the permeability of the block, drawing an open fluid space that connects different places hierarchically and draws those relations that today are missing. The intention is to insert a dimension of contrast to establish a new relation between full and empty spaces of the city, based on multiple levels, starting from large spaces existing (Parco Vittorio Formentano , Piazza S. Maria del Suffragio, Piazza Cinque Giornate) and innervates in the surrounding tissue. The architectural project redesigns the area of the "ex cinema Luce", realizing the potential of permeability of the urban tissue and changing the role of the public space.

Abstract
The architectural project redesigns the area of the "ex cinema Luce", realizing the potential of permeability of the urban tissue and changing the role of the public space.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
