Il documentario interattivo per il discorso di design. Il progetto Desis inSight

The thesis has developed the project of an interactive documentary, aimed to collect fragments of academic research, in order to enhance them and make them accessible to the scientific community and for the action of Design for Social Innovation. Starting from a dive in the topics covered by DESIS Philosophy Talks regarding the Storytelling, the thesis approaches the challenges concerning the role and responsibilities of the narrative in the documentation of a process. One of the highlights of the thesis is the role that narrative plays in the use of the content and in the dialogic exchange that is established between the narrator and those who receive the narrative, thus becoming the recipient an integral part of the narrative itself. From here on, the thesis analyzes various examples by which are highlighted the unique aspects of this dialogic relationship of dialogue that takes place through the digital technology and the web: from the interaction through the game to cross-media and transmedia storytelling. In the end, the thesis project Desis InSight: an interactive documentary that propose a container format that allows to explore the contents audiovisual and interactively. These contents concern fragments of thought exhibited by different philosophers and members of the international design community, collected by researchers at DESIS Network.

La tesi ha sviluppato il progetto di un documentario interattivo finalizzato a raccogliere frammenti di ricerca accademica, con l’obiettivo di valorizzarli e renderli accessibili alla comunità scientifica e all’azione del Design per l’Innovazione Sociale. Partendo da un’immersione negli argomenti trattati dai DESIS Philosophy Talks dedicati al tema dello Storytelling, la tesi si avvicina alle sfide riguardanti il ruolo e le responsabilità della narrazione nella documentazione di un processo. Uno dei punti salienti della tesi è il ruolo che la narrazione svolge nella fruizione del contenuto e nel rapporto di scambio dialogico che si instaura tra chi narra e chi riceve la narrazione, facendo così diventare il destinatario parte integrante della narrazione stessa. Da qui in poi la tesi analizza vari esempi grazie ai quali vengono messi in evidenza gli aspetti peculiari di questo rapporto dialogico posto in essere grazie alla tecnologia digitale e al web: dall’interazione tramite il gioco alla narrazione transmediale e crossmediale. In fine, il progetto di tesi Desis InSight: un documentario interattivo che propone un format contenitore che permette di esplorare in forma audiovisiva e interattiva i contenuti. Questi, riguardano frammenti di pensiero esposti da diversi filosofi ed esponenti della comunità del design internazionale, raccolti dai ricercatori di DESIS Network.
