During the Renaissance theater was outdoors, in backyards, in the halls of palaces, finished the show the whole apparatus was dismantled at most used for other conditions, without ever taking continuing basis. A scenic drive to the theater courtyard of the Palazzo Farnese is the theme, an architecture promiscuous able to assume different identities, to interpret the spaces not only as a quality of physical reality but rather as a historic experience, to consider life town as a place of entertainment, not only play but also social.
Durante il periodo rinascimentale il teatro era all’aperto, nei cortili, nelle sale dei palazzi signorili, finito lo spettacolo tutto l’apparato veniva smontato al massimo utilizzato per altre circostanze, senza mai assumere carattere di stabilità. Una macchina scenica per il teatro cortile di Palazzo Farnese è questo il tema, un architettura promiscua in grado di assumere diverse identità, di interpretare gli spazi non soltanto come qualità della realtà fisica quanto piuttosto come una struttura storica dell’esperienza, di considerare la vita cittadina come luogo di spettacolo, non solo teatrale ma anche sociale.
