L'implementazione della strategia di global sourcing in società EPC : il caso DG Impianti Industriali S.p.A.

In the following work there is an overview on the EPC company, analyzing the characteristics and structure. Then are described characteristics, stages and actors of the EPC projects, considering the different types of contracts that can be stipuleted. Then there is a focus on "Procurement", because this is the subject of the case study. Are analyzed its evolution in time and its peculiarities in the EPC companies, studying different models in the literature, by which the purchases can be placed, based on their characteristics and then can be chosen the best model of suppliers choice. Then we moved to the case study for the "DG Impianti", which was interested in a market research in a "Global Sourcing" situation, to understand if in some Countries with developing economies the quality was already improved in order to compete with Italian suppliers, despite having lower prices that allow saving on cost of procurement.

Nel seguente lavoro viene fatta dapprima un’overview sulle società di tipo EPC, analizzandone caratteristiche e struttura. Si descrivono poi le caratteristiche, le fasi e gli attori dei progetti si tipo EPC, considerando i diversi tipi di contratto che possono essere stipulati. Viene poi fatto un focus sulla fase di “Procurement”, in quanto successivamente oggetto del caso studio. Se ne analizzano l’evoluzione nel tempo e le peculiarità nelle aziende di tipo EPC, studiando diversi modelli presenti in letteratura, grazie ai quali è possibile posizionare gli acquisti in base alle loro caratteristiche e successivamente scegliere il modello di scelta dei fornitori più adatto. Si è passati poi al caso studio su richiesta della “DG Impianti”, che era interessata ad una ricerca di mercato in ottica “Global Sourcing”, per capire se in alcuni Paesi con economia in sviluppo la qualità fosse ormai migliorata per poter competere con i fornitori italiani, pur avendo prezzi più bassi che permettono saving sul costo di approvvigionamento.
