This thesis has emphasized on the Geometry of tensile Architecture and its form-finding methods. All the discussions and the case studies covered overview about these issues. It describes the typology of traditional surface classes. Two typologies of surface classes are defined. Double curved Anticlastic and Synclastic surfaces with their subdivision are described. To have a better understanding of the geometry classification and form-finding process five case studies have been analyzed with illustrating their different geometries and form-finding approaches using parametric algorithmic design softwares .

Abstract
This thesis has emphasized on the Geometry of tensile Architecture and its form-finding methods. All the discussions and the case studies covered overview about these issues. It describes the typology of traditional surface classes. Two typologies of surface classes are defined. Double curved Anticlastic and Synclastic surfaces with their subdivision are described. To have a better understanding of the geometry classification and form-finding process five case studies have been analyzed with illustrating their different geometries and form-finding approaches using parametric algorithmic design softwares .File | Dimensione | Formato | |
