In this thesis, developed at the Laboratory of Sensors and Detectors (SanD-Lab) of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano, magnetometers are studied in planar technology AMR (Anisotropic Magneto Resistance), able to detect magnetic fields of intensity comparable to those on Earth. The operation of these sensors is based on the variation of their resistance as a function of the external applied magnetic field. The thesis work includes the study of the physics of the device, implemented by STMicroelectronics (technological partner), and especially characterization measurements and reliability. For this purpose it was necessary to develop experimental setups; particularly, the accomplishment of a programmable climatic chamber used to study the magnetometer at different operating temperatures.

Abstract
For this purpose it was necessary to develop experimental setups; particularly, the accomplishment of a programmable climatic chamber used to study the magnetometer at different operating temperatures.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
