Acque di Lomellina. Format di cartografie digitali per il racconto delle tematiche emergenti del territorio

The object of this essay is to plan/project a website in order to describe the Lomellina Area and the related topic of its waters. It has been requested the production of a website able to attract the potential end-users (tourists) and to give them an unusual experience through the discovery of the Lomellina waters. This work and its aftermath will lead the users to have more detailed information about the territory and to change the traditional concept of a “touristic guide” into a new one based on information technology. Following a preliminary research aimed to analyze the existing websites on map-basis, it has been possible to identify the needs and the strong and weak points of them and, later, to elaborate a new unexplored format whose purpose is indeed to “tell” the territory and “promote” its identity by using modular and impressive contents, such as “micro-formats”, that will provide an innovative and different experience to the end-users (tourists). The format herewith is particularly referred to the territory of Lomellina and it is obviously of the most importance the way by which this territory is represented in this project together with the peculiarity of its waters. Also the presence of a showing map is important and useful since the map represents a sort of navigation guide by which the user will be able to explore and move within the territory itself. Thanks to the markers it is possible to put in evidence the main interesting places to be visited.

Oggetto dell’elaborato di tesi è la progettazione di format per la comunicazione del territorio con l'obiettivo di raccontare le identità locali attraverso la combinazione di contenuti immersivi e modulari, al fine di proporre all'utente un’esperienza all’interno del contesto territoriale. Tale obiettivo è verificato progettualmente su territori caratterizzati da carenze di emergenze territoriali forti, a favore di un substrato culturale diffuso. Attraverso la progettazione di una piattaforma web, vengono quindi ipotizzate modalità di comunicazione immersive che esplorano il territorio attraverso trasversalità tematiche. L’artefatto prodotto è in grado di fornire nuovi meccanismi informativi per raccontare il territorio in esame, permettendo di andare oltre il tradizionale format di “guida turistica”. Tale proposta di format è stata applicata al territorio della Lomellina, che viene presentato attraverso il tema delle Acque e ai loro usi: grazie ai punti di interesse legati a questo ambito vengono scoperte ed esplorate le zone coinvolte in modo immersivo e conivolgente. In questo contesto la mappa funge da substrato connettivo: evidenzia i principali punti di interesse, rappresenta una guida di navigazione, permette all’utente di muoversi ed esplorare il territorio geografico e tematico.
