Abstract

On one hand modern traffic way is convenient for people’s life, on the other hand it causes many problems, like environmental pollution, high-frequency traffic safety accidents, worse conflict between cars and people and so on. University campus, which used to be quiet and orderly, also can’t avoid these problems. The campus traffic problems become complex day by day at present, as many domestic universities’ new campus is built larger and larger. Then these universities need to consider how to build reasonable campus transportation system based on the general block campus space environment, optimize teachers’ and students’ travel experience. And non-motorized traffic as a non-motor vehicle transportation, it has a larger advantage in short distance transportation in the city: on the one hand it emphasizes to slow creation and motor vehicle traffic subject also equal status, on the other hand it focuses on how to provide better travel experience in non-motorized traffic, so it has great practical value in building campus transportation system. Firstly, this article introduced the rise and growth of slow traffic systems, meanwhile, it also organized the principles and methods of service design derived from "Design Methodology" by Guanzhong Liu, which devised service design system into "Creating" and "Planning". Then, the author contributed the construction and the design of Jiading Campus Slow Traffic System based on the outline of three main subject "individuals”, “Activities" and "Environment (Macro Space and Specific Products)". By researching the current situation of Jiading Campus non-motorized traffic system, it developed the conjunction point with non-motorized service. After that, it can use user research methods to summarize several users' profiles, and ensuring space demands and service demands of Slow Traffic Service System with different users. In that way, the detail of "Creating" and "Planning" design will be presented according to the above information. Due to the environmental level from Slow Traffic Service System, this article analyzed the problem appearing on the current pedestrian system and bike system, and it optimized the space with the respect of users' space demands. On the other hand, it applied standard procedure of service design from the service level of non-motorized Traffic Service System on account of users' demands to summarize the design of service vision, mood board so that it can look into the future of targeting service. Next, it will finalize the outcome of service design through the relative stakeholders, offering map, service system map, service blueprint, PI Map and IQ Map, Lastly, it pointed out several of new discussions about the development of the future Campus Slow Traffic Service System based on the Campus Slow Traffic Service concept and the specification of users' demands.
