Il rapporto tra cinema e musica. Quando la musica colta crea l'azione

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the interrelationships between music, pictures and narrative film. The examples I use to support it, concern cinematographic kinds that use more techniques of expression and communication together, which not only serve the acting, but also the music, song and dance, creating, at the end, a set of techniques that flow so spontaneous, these cinematographic kinds are the filmopera, melodrama and musical. I also demonstrate how cinema is a means of communication that is able to give fame at the classical music. At the same time I project a purely experimental project. It is a hypermedia containing interviews and video interviews with composers of music for images. A subsidy to the texts which deal with the relationship between film and music and the thesis itself. It intended primarily for students of music schools who want to discover and explore the link between music and film music.

Lo scopo di questa tesi è indagare le interrelazioni tra musica, immagini e racconto filmico. Gli esempi utilizzati per supportarla riguardano i generi che usano più tecniche espressive e comunicative insieme, che non si servono solo della recitazione, ma anche della musica, del canto e della danza, creando così un’insieme di tecniche che fluiscono in modo spontaneo, quindi il filmopera, il melodramma ed il musical. Inoltre viene dimostrato come il cinema sia un mezzo di comunicazione che riesce ad avvicinare i più alla cosiddetta musica colta. Parallelamente alle teorie analizzate viene realizzato un progetto prettamente sperimentale. Si tratta di un ipermedia contenente interviste e video interviste effettuate a compositori di musica per immagini. Un sussidio ai testi che vertono sul rapporto tra cinema e musica ed alla tesi stessa. Destinato principalmente agli studenti di istituti musicali che vogliono scoprire ed approfondire il legame tra musica e cinema musicale.
