Modeling the operating values in order to improve the management of an industrial system : Snecma factory

This empirical study about the role of Operating Values in the management of a production system has been conducted in Snecma during a 6 months internship. The main goal is to determine how Operating Values can be used in order to help the management of an industrial production system and to see if identification and follow up of each part number can help the management to detect key actions to focus on. For that purpose we had to model the evolution of the valorization of the Work-In-Progress in the internal production site and the evolution of the stock at the suppliers. It was necessary to forecast the evolution of the Work-In-Progress and to determine a theoretical value for each part number over the weeks throughout the manufacturing process. An interactive computer tool, reading from the enterprise database with graphical output is at hand for the management team.
