Financial inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean : opportunities and challenges

The scope of this paper or Literature review aims the understanding and definition of all the factors and actors involved in Financial Inclusion, what makes financial inclusion what it is nowadays through the analysis of the Latin America and the Caribbean region and the financial development the main economies of the region has. The taken approach is comparing the main countries within the LAC region, evaluating their economic, technological and social constraints with the high-income countries of other regions (Europe, Asia and Africa) in order to understand where LAC is stand on and what does the region still needs to develop or asses to achieve a higher concentration of the population (specially the low-income segment) as part of the financial system. And finally by the end of this evaluation is reliable to define the constraints where LAC region needs to focus and minimize the gap to develop a functional Financial Inclusion.
