The objective of this thesis is to prove if Six Sigma can be successfully utilized in Construction projects which are considered unique, in order to provide the Construction Industry with a methodology that can be used to reduce costs and increase the quality delivered to the final customer. The implementation of Six Sigma was tested in a construction project, specifically to improve the structure quality and to reduce the Concrete Contractor’s costs. The methodology was correctly implemented and the defects found in the structure were significantly diminished. Other important results obtained were the reduction in risk and an increment in the Process Capability. Based on these results we conclude that the tools and methodology applied in this project can be easily replicated to other Concrete Contractors and also in other different areas within the Construction Industry, which will produce similar results to those stated earlier.
