A tool for the integration between quality control and management control applied at Steriline S.r.l.

Steriline is an Italian, family-owned, Medium sized company which designs and manufactures automatic equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, in the last years it has quickly grown in an exponential way. This growth in a relative short period brought with it the complexity of managing the organization; contemporaneously, the market was demanding for the ISO 9001 certification of the company. For this reasons the direction decided to adopt a QMS and look for the ISO certification. Nowadays the company is facing some issues with customer dissatisfaction and miss opportunities that could be solved enhancing the QMS. To bring forth this upgrading a KPIs selection method is chosen and performed together with some related activities such as: the diffusion of information about the QMS, the review and upgrading of the mission and objectives of the company, the identification of critical success factors, the upgrading of the company’s business process maps, the individuation of process owners and the redesign of the organizational chart. At the end a group of KIPs is selected and presented through a series of graphical dashboards that should be programmed and implemented in the future based on the IT and specifically on the ERP of the company.

Steriline è un’azienda italiana a conduzione familiare di medie dimensioni che progetta e costruisce macchinari automatici per l’industria farmaceutica. In questi ultimi anni l'azienda è cresciuta velocemente e in modo esponenziale: questa crescita rapida e in un periodo relativamente breve ha portato con sé la necessità di gestire un'organizzazione sempre più complessa. Contemporaneamente a questo il mercato ha iniziato inoltre a richiedere la certificazione ISO 9001 dell'azienda stessa. Per le circostanze che si erano create la direzione ha deciso quindi di adottare un SGQ e di attivarsi per ottenere la certificazione ISO. In particolare, allo stato attuale, l’azienda sta affrontando problemi legati alla soddisfazione dei clienti e alla perdita di opportunità valutando soluzioni incentrate sul miglioramento del SGQ. Per realizzare questi miglioramenti è stato scelto ed applicato un metodo di selezione di Kpi unito ad alcune attività collegate, nello specifico: la diffusione d’informazione sul SGQ, la revisione e l’aggiornamento della mission e degli obiettivi aziendali, l’identificazione dei fattori critici di successo, l’aggiornamento delle mappe di processo aziendale, l’individuazione dei proprietari dei processi e la riprogettazione dell'organigramma. Un gruppo di Kpis è stato infine selezionato e presentato tramite quadri di gestione, questi dovranno poi essere programmati ed implementati in futuro con base nelle IT, specificamente nel ERP aziendale.
