This Master thesis comes out from a technical focus on a contest promoted by the Banca Credito Cooperativo of Sesto San Giovanni in the 2012 for the students of the Politecnico di Milano. It concerned the design of a new auditorium at the headquarters of the bank, replacing the current structure inadequate sized for the company requirements. The contest was carried out by the working group "AAA", composed by myself and the two classmates Ardit Jonuzi and Andrea Valsecchi, with whom besides the positive experience of cooperation I shared the satisfaction of the outcome of the competition. In the following pages the final idea of the competition was taken and reviewed in its conceptual aspects and composition, according to a more complete vision of the project, developed later with academic studies. The architectural design has therefore evolved and adapted to the demands arising from the analysis conducted on the urban environment and the area of intervention, while retaining the concept and spirit of the original idea. The compositional approach stems from the need to offer a place of entertainment for members and guests of the bank. It has to offer sufficient capacity and not to be affected by sources of noise coming from outside. The goal is also to give a new face to the inner courtyard of the bank, starting from the definition of volumes and functional pathways, considering the existing buildings in order to have strategically planned functions. It is so defined an original product for the architectural form and composition of the interior spaces, based on flexibility and exploitability. The auditorium includes a conference room of 288 seats, with service areas in the basement; a foyer with a loft area for members of the bank; an exhibition area in the basement lit by a light well in the foyer. The structural aspect has been analyzed in more detail for both the structural scheme complex, both for the several verifications required for the development of an organism resistant to all the expected stresses. The entire structure above the ground is steel made and includes an outer pitched shell supported by trusses and pillars stuck to the ground. The members area above the foyer consists of an elevated block assembled with steel profiles which has been deepened in the structural aspect. The technology project was based on the careful selection of materials suitable to optimize the acoustics of the auditorium and pursue the benefit of the indoor climate. The technology packages are designed entirely dry in the aboveground floors to give the building envelope performance techniques that overtake the limits imposed by the current regulations, ensuring comfort climate and acoustic. Finally comes the definition of the plant system, also based on renewable resources that lead to the lowest possible energy consumption, limiting the operation of the machinery to the usage hours of the building. As can be noted the work focused on structural and technical aspects of the project, since the architectural phase was in a state of partial progress as a result of the competition.

Abstract
This Master thesis comes out from a technical focus on a contest promoted by the Banca Credito Cooperativo of Sesto San Giovanni in the 2012 for the students of the Politecnico di Milano. It concerned the design of a new auditorium at the headquarters of the bank, replacing the current structure inadequate sized for the company requirements.
