The aim of “Designing the City as a Resource” is to interpret the city not only as something consuming resources but also as a provider of them. In Shenzhen city and the whole Pearl River Delta area, mobility and development are deeply interwind, mobility structures and modes strongly influence the use, morphology and composition of the built environment. The thesis project creates a vertically stacked ground to facilitate a 3D vision of city mobility and interweaves the infrastructure and the city by engaging the interconnection of mobility networks and hubs, the urban landscape, and the built environment.

Abstract
The aim of “Designing the City as a Resource” is to interpret the city not only as something consuming resources but also as a provider of them.
