The subject of the thesis is the relationship between creativity, entrepreneurship, and territory - the so-called "Creative City.” The research community has not settled on one, complete definition of "Creative City” (see Chapter 2), and the search for a true definition was the starting point for further research. The following research attempts to focus on creativity at the smaller, neighbourhood scale, which is the level at which a city reveals its strongest meanings and expressions. Conducting analyses at this level makes it possible to witness different forms of the “Creative City,” and reach conclusions through a comparative study of specific cases. The thesis uses twenty different examples from creative areas in twenty different European cities as points of observation and discussion (see Chapter 3). These case study areas are then analyzed in Chapter 4, and in Chapter 5, the cases are used to draft suggestions for the writing and implementation of future, successful policies. The study investigates different interpretations of creative-cultural neighbourhoods. Through the analysis of these districts, the author supports the increased role of such neighborhoods in urban policies. Furthermore, the interpretation of these cases is meant to stimulate a dialectic and lead to a formula for making cities more livable, attractive and just.

Abstract
Furthermore, the interpretation of these cases is meant to stimulate a dialectic and lead to a formula for making cities more livable, attractive and just.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
