The present work is devoted to the development of a system for the evaluation of the driving style intended for drivers of agricultural tractors. The proposed solution, in addition to providing information about the attitude of the considered vehicle, is capable of computing scores related to key aspects that characterize a driving session: the road safety, the economic and ecological impact of the vehicle, the comfort of the journey. The influence on these factors is mainly due to the driver’s behavior: the goal of the project is therefore to encourage him towards the improvement of his driving skills. They are formulated and analyzed the calculation algorithms of three indicators of the quality of a drive: the Safety Index, the Eco Index and the Comfort Index, which are based only on the speed and inertial measurements of the vehicle, acquired by the sensors integrated in the hardware module of the system installed on the tractor. It is performed the identification of the patterns of agricultural operators’ driving behavior, used for calibration of the indices designed theoretically. It is presented the web application designed to analyze the results of the evaluations, sent by the assessment device to the company fleet manager’s remote workstation.
Il presente lavoro di tesi è dedicato allo sviluppo di un sistema per la valutazione dello stile di guida rivolto agli autisti di trattori agricoli. La soluzione proposta, oltre a fornire informazioni sull’assetto del veicolo in esame, è in grado di elaborare dei punteggi relativi ad aspetti chiave che contraddistinguono una sessione di guida: la sicurezza stradale, l’impatto economico ed ecologico del mezzo, il comfort di viaggio. L’influenza di tali fattori è imputabile principalmente all’atteggiamento del conducente: obiettivo del progetto è dunque quello di stimolarlo verso un miglioramento delle abilità al volante. Sono analizzati e formulati gli algoritmi di calcolo di tre indicatori della qualità di una guida: l’Indice Safety, l’Indice Eco e l’Indice Comfort, i quali si basano sulle sole misure inerziali e di velocità del veicolo acquisite dai sensori integrati nel modulo hardware del sistema, installato a bordo del trattore. È eseguita l’identificazione dei modelli di comportamento propri degli operatori di macchine agricole, impiegati per la taratura degli indici progettati per via teorica. È presentata l’applicazione web realizzata per l’analisi dei risultati delle valutazioni, inviate dall’apparato di misurazione alla postazione remota del manager di flotta aziendale.
