Business process management, organizational analysis and process improvement : an application in Istituto Secoli

This report has been written during the internship that the author was a member of consultancy group and active in part of process mapping. The company is one of the leaders in the fashion industry in sense of the teaching method and is one of the best in this field with the 80 year background. The purpose is to do organizational analysis for the companies in cloth industries and make improvement in both organizational point of view and production line point of view. In organizational point of view, the company with different technics realize the weaknesses and points of improvement of the companies and analysis them and suggest some solution, in production line point of view, after mapping the processes, make changes in production line and layout of the factory to reduce the cycle time and increase the efficiency. This study is about doing the organizational analysis in the company itself as an outsider, therefore it is possible to recognize the problems, weaknesses, and inefficiencies better and make the improvements from inside as a part of it.
