Supply chain integration : a survey in the Brazilian Italian apparel industry

This project is dedicated to the study of Supply Chain Integration in the apparel industry. The research method used was a survey with companies from this industry in Brazil and Italy. Having two theoretical models as reference, the Supply Chain 4 C’s and the SCOR Framework, a questionnaire was designed and sent to the companies with the intent of measuring the Italian-Brazilian partnerships’ integration level and identify how this factor influences the performance indicators proposed by the SCOR Framework. As main results, it was possible to compare Brazilian and Italian respondents with regards to the integration depth and performance, as well as to propose suggestions for efficiency and effectiveness improvement. In addition to that, correlation coefficients among the dimensions from both models were calculated in order to identify the most rewarding Supply Chain integration practices in this segment of the industry.

Questo progetto è dedicato allo studio della integrazione di Supply Chain nella industria di abbigliamento. Il metodo utilizzato è stato un survey com aziende di questa industria in Brasile ed in Italia. Usando due modelli teorici come referenza, il Supply Chain 4 C’s e il SCOR Framework, un sondaggio è stato elaborato ed inviato alle aziende con l’obiettivo di misurare il livello di integrazione delle partnerships italiane-brasiliane ed identificare come questo fenomeno è in relazione coi indicatori di performance del SCOR. Come principali risultati, è stato possibile paragonare rispondenti italiani e brasiliani e anche proporre suggerimenti per migliorare l’efficienza ed efficacia delle aziende participanti. Inoltre, i coefficienti di correlazione fra le dimensioni di entrambi modelli sono stati calculati perché fosse stato possibile identificare quelle pratiche di integrazione più interessante ai rispondenti di questo segmento della industria.
