An examination on the pattern of export from Italy to the USA in terms of sectors

The world economy is becoming increasingly integrated – across different regions, and different sectors. Today, the two giant world economies EU and USA share a deeply interdependence with each other. Outside the EU, The U.S. is currently the largest market share for Italian exports. In this study, I exam the export trade flow from Italy to the USA and cooperation between these two countries, by analyzing the pattern of export in the last decade, especially after ‘Great World Recession in 2008’. According to SITC Rev. 2 classification, the sectors are obtained and the fluctuations are determined in the highlighted products in their value terms. Year-to year, their percentage and ranking changes are featured in their focused section. Furthermore, USA imports from Italy within the each state of U.S. are analyzed according to their Italian import rankings and trends. Eventually, it has been analyzed that the export growth here in Italy and across to The U.S. in an ascending tendency and it is not difficult to foresee in the future to be larger than ever. By shaping global trade, projecting Italian values and attracting more investment will boost Italy exports influence not only in the USA but also in the world.
