The purpose of this thesis is to investigate acustic transmission through the finite element modelization with Actran and the numeric modelization with the Transfer Matrix Method. Acustic properties, such as noise absorption, are evaluated for different panels and architectures, in order to assess positive and negative aspects of the two different approaches. The effects of curvature, mass law and coincidence frequency are the key parameters for the comparison. The different panel configurations (simple metallic, multi-layers with rubber core and double leaf partition) are tested both from a numerical and experimental point of view and the results are compared, focusing on the applicability values of the two methods.

Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate acustic transmission through the finite element modelization with Actran and the numeric modelization with the Transfer Matrix Method. Acustic properties, such as noise absorption, are evaluated for different panels and architectures, in order to assess positive and negative aspects of the two different approaches. The effects of curvature, mass law and coincidence frequency are the key parameters for the comparison. The different panel configurations (simple metallic, multi-layers with rubber core and double leaf partition) are tested both from a numerical and experimental point of view and the results are compared, focusing on the applicability values of the two methods.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
