Within this work we proceed in the study of the effects of the inclusion of Demand Planning function following the implementation of the Sales & Operations Planning within Mareblu srl. S&OP project allowed the incorporation of the figure of Demand Planner in Mareblu, I personally covered it through an internship, on which it was realized the thesis. After analyzing in detail the S&OP process through a study of literature, we will clarify the meaning and objectives of the project and will proceed with the presentation of the company, the group in which operates Mareblu, and its functions. The study of the environment and policies of the company are essential to be able to fully grasp the significance of the work of the Demand Planner in all its facets. Then we’re going to compare the dynamics by which Mareblu used to work before implementation of the process with all the gaps and deficiencies of the case, than the later ones after the settlement of Demand Planning and S&OP process. It will be carried out a detailed analysis of the individual Planning activities performed by Demand Planner trying to highlight the advantages and benefits for society. The implementation of the Sales & Operations Planning gives life to the function of Demand Planning and allows the company to organize better in terms of processes and responsibility. Demand Planning will interface with all business functions in order to draw up the plan of forecasting demand favoring theme of sharing knowledge. All this must take into account the complications and difficulties that will meet, but that will be overcome thanks to the efforts of all stakeholders in the pursuit of a common and strategy goal: business growth. After these considerations there will be room to assess any tips for optimizing the use of Sales & Operations Planning project and be able to place within a process of continuous improvement.
All’interno di questo elaborato si procederà nello studio degli effetti legati all’insediamento della mansione di Demand Planning conseguente all’implementazione del Sales & Operations Planning all’interno della società Mareblu s.r.l. Questo progetto ha permesso che venisse istituita per la prima volta in Mareblu la figura del Demand Planner, che ho coperto personalmente tramite lo svolgimento di uno stage formativo, su cui si struttura il progetto di tesi di laurea. Dopo aver analizzato approfonditamente il processo S&OP attraverso uno studio di letteratura, si chiariranno il significato e gli obiettivi del progetto e si procederà con la presentazione della società, del gruppo in cui opera Mareblu, e delle sue funzioni. Lo studio del contesto e delle politiche secondo cui le funzioni aziendali si trovano ad operare sono fondamentali per poter cogliere a pieno successivamente il significato del lavoro del Demand Planner in tutte le sue sfaccettature. In seguito si andranno a mettere a confronto le dinamiche secondo le quali si era soliti operare prima dell’implementazione del processo con tutte le lacune e le mancanze del caso, rispetto a quelle successive all’ insediamento del Demand Planning e del processo S&OP. Verrà effettuata un’analisi minuziosa delle singole attività di Demand Planning svolte direttamente dal Demand Planner cercando di evidenziarne i vantaggi ed i benefici per la società nel suo complesso. L’implementazione del Sales & Operations Planning dà vita alla mansione di Demand Planning permettendo all’azienda di strutturarsi meglio sia in termini organizzativi che di processi. Il Demand Planning si interfaccerà con tutte le funzioni aziendali per poter stilare il piano di previsione della domanda favorendo così il tema della condivisione della conoscenza. Tutto questo dovrà essere messo al netto delle ovvie complicanze e difficoltà implementative che si incontreranno, ma che, come avremo modo di vedere, verranno superate grazie agli sforzi di tutti gli attori nel perseguimento di un obiettivo comune e strategico per il quale il processo si presta: la crescita aziendale. A valle di tutte queste riflessioni ci sarà spazio per poter valutare eventuali consigli utili per valorizzare al meglio il Sales & Operations Planning e poterlo collocare all’interno di un processo di miglioramento continuo nel tempo.
