Shelter village. Un camping sostenibile nell'isola di Scopelo

The theme of the final laboratory was designing a Shelter, this gave me the opportunity to explore more the idea of shelter seen as a tool to satisfy the demand for tourism in Greece. The shelters are seen as a social tool to protect the environment that due to consumerism in the Greek islands generated in long term an environmental emergency. The goal was to create a sustainable camping that belongs to the structures of the shelters, therefore I took inspiration of the Instant city idea and the spirit of Le Corbusier in the ‘‘Le Cabanon’’ to create a new community similar to the Hippies in the 60 '. Instead, the organization of the space was motivated by the design layers strategy of Elias Zenghelis, having a similar look of Greek colonization. In the end the Shelter Village would take an analogous form as the pyrite stone inserted in nature.

Il laboratorio di sintesi finale è stato l’occasione all’interno del mio percorso formativo per approfondire il tema dello shelter visto come strumento atto alla soddisfazione della domanda turistica in Grecia. Gli shelter vengono visti come uno strumento sociale per salvaguardare l’ambiente che causa di consumismo nelle isole greche ha generato nel lungo termine un’emergenza ambientale. L’obbiettivo è la creazione di un campeggio sostenibile che si appartiene dalle strutture degli shelter, caratterizzato dall’idea di ‘‘Instant city’’ con il spirito di Le Corbusier e il suo Le Cabanon creando cosi una nuova comunità simile a quella degli Hippies negli anni 60’. Invece l’organizzazione dello spazio progettato, viene ispirato attraverso il progetto di Elias Zenghelis e la sua strategia dei Layers sovrapposti, avendo un aspetto finale simile di questo di colonizzazione greca. In conclusione lo Shelter Village prenderà una forma simile come quella della pirite posta nella natura.
