Ippocrate : a new steering wheel monitoring system

This thesis project has the purpose to develop a new type of product for driving. The starting point will be analyse the history of the Steering Wheel as an industrial product, then focus on the driver, a person with big responsibilities and a lot of features and tools to control. I will analyse the driver as a person and a processor, in order to quantify the amount of datas it could manage. The next step will be match the target and the environment and to proceed with the explanation of all the parameters i took in consideration for Ippocrate, a new Steering Wheel System whose aim is to help people and let them feel safe during the driving.

Questa tesi ha l'obbiettivo di sviluppare un nuovo prodotto per la guida. Il punto di partenza sarà analizzare la storia e lo sviluppo del volante come prodotto industriale, per poi concentrarsi sul guidatore e sui suoi bisogni, un utene con grandi responsailità e moltissimi controlli da manipolare. Analizzerò il guidatore come persona e come processore in grado di elaborare stimoli in modo da quantificare l'ammontare di dati che è in grado di elaborare. Il passo seguente sarà incrociare l'esperienza attiva del guidatore in relazione all'ambiente che lo circonda spiegando di volta in volta i parametri che ne descrivono l'esperienza e che sono stati presi in considerazione per Ippocrate, un nuovo sistema-Volante il cui obbiettivo è aiutare il guidatore e far si che si senta al sicuro durante la guida.
