Lebenstakt. Progetto della nuova scuola materna, di una sala prove per la banda musicale e degli spazi verdi pubblici circostanti nel comune di Sluderno

LEBENSTAKT is the project of the new preschool, of a rehearsal room for the marching band and of the surrounding public green areas in the city of Sluderno, Trentino Alto-Adige. LEBENSTAKT means “life beat”, and its aim is to define a place that intends to be the new pulsating heart of the city of Sluderno. The project comes from the elaboration of a competition announcement of small dimensions but full of starting points and themes. It is indeed requested a specific attention to the different necessities of the users, children and adults, to the sound quality of the spaces, in particular to of the music room, to the energetic quality of the fabricated and to the total annual energy budget. The architectural landscape in which the project inserts itself is tipically alpine, characterized by simple lines and traditional materials such as wood and stone, but it shows a strong will of innovation, proved by the presence of several buildings of marked contemporary taste, and geared towards environmental sustainability and promotion of local resources. The purpose of this project is to create an element that can integrate itself in this well-established context, at the same time fully expressing its character, while respecting the energetic and ecological standards expected from the new and future constructions. For this reason the main material of the project is wood, used for the structural elements and, with other materials of vegetable origin, for thermal insulation. Wood is also employed on the facade in the form of dynamic perforated panels, put side by side with white panels reminding of the traditional local plasters, and with slats of alloy copper, whose warm hues perfectly fit in with the chromatic tones of the place. An element of structural and ergotechnics interest is represented by the prefabricated wooden walls, which define the geometry of the building and maintain and renew an ancient architectural tradition, allowing a controlled preparation in the factory and a fast and precise placement in the construction site. Special attention has been paid to the energetic planning of the building, with the goal of obtaining the ZEB classification, namely that of white building with null energetic budget. To this purpose, dynamic and in-depth energetic simulations have been carried out, alongside with structural choices that aim to exploit as much as possible the potentiality of the site and that of the building itself The building, vital centre of the project, receives additional impulse and dynamism from the parks that surround it: the natural park of curvy evolution is a place of meeting and gathering, of leisure and relax, but also of learning about nature; the recreational area adjacent to the preschool is divided into simple geometries, in areas with different finishings, for a complete and liberating sensory experience; the recreational area adjacent to the elementary school is wide and adaptable, to allow total expressive freedom to every user.

LEBENSTAKT è il progetto della nuova scuola materna, di una sala prove per la banda musicale e degli spazi verdi pubblici circostanti nel comune di Sluderno, in Trentino Alto-Adige. LEBENSTAKT significa “battito di vita” e mira a definire un luogo che intende essere il nuovo cuore pulsante della città di Sluderno. Il progetto nasce dall’elaborazione di un bando di dimensioni ridotte ma ricco di spunti e tematiche. Viene infatti richiesta una particolare attenzione alle diverse esigenze dei fruitori, bambini e adulti, alla qualità sonora degli ambienti e in particolare dell’aula musica, alla qualità energetica del costruito e al bilancio energetico annuale e complessivo. Il contesto architettonico in cui il progetto si inserisce è tipicamente alpino, caratterizzato da linee semplici e materiali tradizionali, come legno e pietra, ma che dimostra una spiccata volontà di rinnovamento, testimoniata dalla presenza di numerosi edifici aventi architetture dal forte gusto contemporaneo, e volto alla sostenibilità ambientale e alla valorizzazione delle risorse locali. Obiettivo del progetto è quello di creare un elemento che si integri rispetto a questo contesto consolidato ma che al contempo riesca ad esprimere appieno il suo carattere, nel rispetto degli standard energetici ed ecologici richiesti dalle nuove e future costruzioni. Per tale motivo il materiale principe del progetto è il legno, usato per gli elementi strutturali e, insieme ad altri materiali di origine vegetale, per l’isolamento termico. Il legno viene usato anche in facciata sotto forma di dinamici pannelli forati, affiancato da pannelli di colore bianco, a ricordare gli intonaci tradizionali del luogo, e da doghe in lega di rame per la copertura, dai toni caldi che si integrano perfettamente nei caratteri cromatici del luogo. Elemento di interesse strutturale ed ergotecnico sono le pareti prefabbricate in legno, che scandiscono la geometria dell’edificio e che mantengono e rinnovano una tradizione costruttiva antica, permettendo una preparazione controllata in fabbrica e un rapido e preciso collocamento in cantiere. Particolare attenzione è stata posta nella progettazione energetica dell’edificio, con l’intento di ottenerne la classificazione di ZEB, cioè di edificio dal bilancio energetico nullo. A questo scopo sono state eseguite simulazioni energetiche dinamiche ed approfondite, affiancate da scelte impiantistiche tese a sfruttare al massimo le potenzialità offerte dal sito e dall’edificio stesso. L’edificio, centro vitale del progetto, riceve ulteriore spinta e dinamicità dai parchi che lo circondano: il parco naturale dall’andamento sinuoso è un luogo di incontro e riunione, di svago e relax ma anche di apprendimento riguardo la natura; l’area ricreativa di pertinenza della scuola materna è suddivisa da geometrie semplici in aree con finiture differenti, per un’esperienza sensoriale libera e completa; l’area ricreativa di pertinenza della scuola elementare è ampia ed adattabile, per permettere la massima libertà espressiva di tutti i fruitori.
