Purpose – This thesis aims to study the effects of the innovation of meanings developed by a Radical Circle sort on a start-up, generated starting from the culture, the knowledge and the resources that spread off from the Radical Circle itself. Firstly our research focuses on the way in which an entrepreneur can transform the interpretation provided by Radical Circle in start-ups; then it will focus on the interactions between the Radical Circle and the new RC-based start-ups analysing the legitimating dynamics enabled by them. Research Methodology – After the surveying of different streams of literature we identified the main features of interests through the building of a conceptual framework aimed to the collection of the main features and linkages between the Radical Circle and the RC-based Start-up, declining it on six case studies. Then we looked for common patterns between the cases comparing different industries and discussing them in relation to the literature analysed. Findings – The research provided contributions through the creation of a clear panel of the resources and the tools that enable the legitimacy dynamics of RC-based start-ups, identifying its evolution through time based on the success stories of the RC-based start-ups. It also provides a useful framework for the study of legitimacy dynamics evolution in other fields. Research Limits and Follow-up – The research conducted was based only on a limited numbers of RC-based start-ups limited to two different industries; it could be interesting the validation of the model recurring to other possible industries. Moreover, as the entrepreneurial legitimacy was dealt only in a qualitative way, it can be proposed to develop even quantitative metrics of legitimacy, validating the consistency of the patterns identified through this research.

Abstract
Moreover, as the entrepreneurial legitimacy was dealt only in a qualitative way, it can be proposed to develop even quantitative metrics of legitimacy, validating the consistency of the patterns identified through this research.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
