Rochecorbon et la Salle Saint-Vincent. Progetto di rivitalizzazione del centro storico e del centro culturale del comune di Rochecorbon (Francia)

Since more than ten years, the commune of Rochecorbon, a nice village of the Loire Valley, wants to extend its cultural centre. This ambitious project would do more than solving the problems linked to the lack of space. It would make this building a central element of the associative life and it would participate to the regional enlightenment of Rochecorbon. My project, which was more than an architectural project but a global one, was developed in this idea. With the co-operation of the town council, this work was meant to give rise to a new approach on urban, architectural and technical subjects. How, in a village so marked by its history and its landscape, urban spaces with underrated potential can be turned into life again? How to make an ally of the existing buildings? How to manage the always-evolving needs of associations, while preserving the well-being of the users? Those are issues approached in the following document. Divided in four parts, the project will begin with the study of the urban context, in the idea to define the commune of Rochecorbon. Then, will be explained the global concept of the project, with ideas for the revitalization of the historical centre. The third part will dwell on the main building, first with a study of the exist one and the with the development of an architectural and building project. In the end, the last part will be on the theme of the visual, acoustic and thermal environment, but also of the structural design of the building.

Da più di dieci anni, il comune di Rochecorbon, un villaggio fiorente sulla sponda della Loira, rinomato per il suo dolce vivere, desidera ingrandire il suo centro culturale. Questo progetto ambizioso, più che risolvere le problematiche legate alla mancanza di spazio, farebbe dell’edificio un elemento centrale nella vita associativa e parteciperebbe all’influenza regionale di Rochecorbon. Il mio progetto, più che un progetto architettonico è un progetto globale, sviluppato in collaborazione del Municipio di Rochecorbon, e lavorando sulla redazione di un capitolato d’appalto. Questo lavoro vuole essere fonte di proposte per apportare un nuovo punto di vista su soggetti sia urbanistici che architettonici e tecnici. Come ridare vita a degli spazi urbani sottovalutati nelle loro potenzialità, in un villaggio molto segnato dalla storia e dal paesaggio della Loire? Come fare dell’esistente un alleato architettonico e urbanistico? Come gestire i bisogni crescenti di associazioni in costante sviluppo, senza sacrificare il benessere degli utenti? Queste sono alcune delle problematiche affrontate di seguito. Diviso in quattro parti, questo progetto si interesserà prima all’analisi del contesto urbano, base del progetto che definisce al meglio il comune di Rochecorbon, e in una seconda parte si svilupperà un concept globale per il progetto, cosi come delle proposte d’intervento per la rivitalizzazione del centro storico. La terza parte si concentra sul centro culturale, con uno studio dell’esistente, e poi lo sviluppo di un progetto architettonico e costruttivo. Saranno in fine trattate le problematiche legate al benessere visivo, acustico e ambientale dei utenti e alla loro sicurezza strutturale.
