In the past ten years the advancements in the understanding of human physiology, physics, electronics and algorithms allowed the emergence of a novel field of study called: Contact-less multi-parameter physiological measurements. The aim of the thesis project regards the implementation of a robust, contactless (1 meter distance) method for the acquisition of the heart blood volume pulse (BVP) signal. The measure is performed by processing the recorded video of a human face (videoPPG technology). The acquisition system is constituted only by an unscented commercial RGB camera. In particular, this study aim at the measure of heart rate and the estimation of heart rate variability (HRV) from an indirect signal, the videoPPG (vPPG), with a correct identification of the pulse interbeat intervals. The system proved to be a worthy substitution of the EKG in HR and HRV monitoring applications.

Abstract
The system proved to be a worthy substitution of the EKG in HR and HRV monitoring applications.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
