ABSTRACT: Archiving and saving our moments and memory , notes , our favorite list of Book , music , movie and whatever we would like to mark as an important factor or sharing them with others through different platform and media , is convinced an enjoyable habit from the past to now .From the old family albums, handwriting letters and postal cards to more advanced ways that new technologies brought to us such as bookmarking , different mobile app and web applications, RFID tags , Pen Drive , hash tag , etc. The recent development of digital systems for saving and recording a memory motivated me to study of how museums get advantages of new technologies to represent their collection and giving their visitor opportunity to save their memory to have a sustainable connection with their collection, and what is missing in existing solution was my challenge during this study. The fast growing of personal digital collections on museum websites and social media pages such as those museum contribute with Flickr, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Has prompted me to study the motivations and expectations of museum’s visitors and the way they interact with those systems and the museum’s strategy in terms of designing those system. Results from online survey, Interview and existing social media collection analysis created by visitors of different museum shows that on one hand users prefer to work with systems that are more familiar with them in terms of design and interaction. Using different platform and application suggested by different museums and each with different log in system is not a friendly way , also as far as not all the museum share data with each other , each user should make 10 different online collection for saving a memory of 10 different museum experience and so on . On the other hand users of such a system are primarily motivated by a desire to create simple and personalized collections of objects with customized information and categorization that is interested to them and having their museums experience memory in one platform rather than different categorization suggested by each museum strategy . The significance of these findings is explored through a discussion of user expectations and motivations while recording their experiences, uploading and sharing their memory.
