The research focuses on the driving practices of Chinese users. It digs into the “learning phase”, by taking a look at how Chinese driving schools try to prepare novice drivers for the chaotic streets of massive cities. The research aims to propose a tool to provide support, as well as motivation, through a game-design approach. It needs to be effective in tutoring users while learning how to handle a car, as well as convince more experienced drivers to change wrong driving practices consolidated over the years. The development of a product service system aims to create a new infotainment platform that includes modular software designs, hardware solutions and a large eco-system that includes local stakeholders.
La tesi si concentra sulle pratiche di guida della popolazione cinese, approfondendo i metodi di apprendimento e l'offerta delle scuole guida locali per capire come sviluppare un prodotto-servizio in grado di migliorare la qualita' ed esperienza di guida in Cina. Driver Power si risolve in un'applicazione mobile che supporta e motiva chi guida a migliorare le proprie abitudini tramite sistemi di game design, per incoraggiare autisti alle prime armi e convincere quelli di vecchia data a correggere cattive abitudini.
