The present work of thesis is aimed to study the technical characteristics and requirements of electrical plants in hazardous areas and their relevant energetic consumption. From said analysis, it has been originated the development of three technical solutions aimed to reduce the plant global energetic need. The three suggested ways to reach that goal involve the use of high efficiency synchronous reluctance motors with IE4 efficiency and power electronics devices which allow variable speed adjustment of plant flow rate, according to the most advanced technologies of the main manufacturers.
La presente tesi ha il duplice obbiettivo di studiare le caratteristiche ed i requisiti tecnici degli impianti elettrici collocati in hazardous area ed il relativo consumo energetico, con il fine di proporre delle soluzioni che riducano consistentemente il fabbisogno energetico. Le soluzioni proposte vedono, fin dove lo permette l’offerta dei principali costruttori, l’utilizzo di motori sincroni a riluttanza variabile ad altissima efficienza IE4 e dispositivi di elettronica di potenza per la regolazione a giri variabili della portata dell’impianto. Il metodo di calcolo utilizzato per la stima dei consumi energetici riflette quello utilizzato nel settore industriale e sulla base del quale vengono proposte e dimensionate le varie parti dell’impianto.
