The project is about a love hotel design and urban design in historical downtown of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. The site got boomed in WWII, and it is a marginal place and sparsely used in this moment. We try to develop a proper program that best suits the dim existing building within its special and meaningful typology, activate the public place by opening the ground floor of the existing building and extend it to our redesigned urban landscape along the foot of historical city to improve the urban mobility and quality. Also a dialogue is formed between the old part and the new-built part, and between the public space and its past. In the end, a new and lively urban environment, a modern fascinating hospitality program and a symbolical recovery are contributed to the historical city’s renaissance.
