In recent years, Supply Chain Finance has grown from a brand new concept to being extensively applied in practice. Particular attention has been dedicated on the advantages and disadvantages related to the SCF solution utilization. The aim of this thesis, due to the collaborative nature of the SCF’ instruments, is to understand what are how are split the responsibilities of the different players in terms of benefits achievable through the utilization of these solutions within enterprises and costs sustained for their development and operational usage. Starting from the analysis of the implementation process of a generic SCF solution with a Total Cost of Ownership perspective, has been created a list of all the SCF’ costs and benefits. Each item, in addition, is associated with a specific Macro-Category in function of his nature and, for the benefits, a list of performances indicators is provided. The model is based on information gained from Literature, Interviews to who knows them by experience and from specific researches on SCF’ field. The solutions taken into consideration are: Credit Card, Dynamic Discounting, Factoring, Inventory Finance, Invoice Auction, Invoice Discounting Purchase Order Financing, Reverse Factoring. A set of drivers influencing each cost and benefit has been identified thanks to the gathered interviews. Furthermore through the administration of a questionnaire has been possible to split the different items by adopting a buyer/supplier perspective and to collect judgements towards the relevance of the different entries of the developed framework. This work tried to explain and develop a model and it can be used as reference by managers during the choice and the implementation of a SCF solution.

This work tried to explain and develop a model and it can be used as reference by managers during the choice and the implementation of a SCF solution.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
