Exoskeletons are no longer a comic or science fiction creation. It is actually being developed since Late 90’s and has many useful purpose in day to day life and even in complex situation like War or assembly of some intractable situation. Having said so Exoskeleton needs a more advance technology as it possesses mechanical as well as electronic challenges, Right from weight of the Exoskeleton to its control. This thesis is dealing with the heart of exoskeleton i.e. Actuators or Electrical Drives used to move and able to perform all the task needed to be done. The thesis deals with study of various types of motors used and their control structure, benefits of motors over another, apart from this hot to enhance the use of motor by adding a gearbox. Finally, I have tried to explain the working with a single axis drive system.
