This project explores landscapes that have been altered by large-scale human activity and how these changes are affecting the communities. As a place, the landscape tells the story of a group of people, as events through time are charted, offering a sense of conti- nuity and rootedness—a cultural context to start to understand cultur- al heritage against. The project intends to reclaim devastated land- scape of dying sea and reinforce restoration program of Aral. Archi- tecture, in this project works as a substitute material in nature and embraces the sense of evolution. The goal is to reinterpret new reality of this area forward new uses, sustaining local identity. While the ruins of the sea clearly disintegrate the original way of life, it becomes necessary to understand a system of actions that can bring the community forward and cultivate a harmonious life cycle. In order to identify with the community, the project must act as a catalyst for the local identity which is in a state of flux, yet be connected to the source.
