Treni ad alta velocità : comfort e benessere. Organizzazione e allestimento della carrozza viaggiatori

Nowadays, the train is one of the most important means of transportation. It can be considered the first mass transportation vehicle that played, and still does, a key role in the political, economic and social structure of each country. Since the beginning, it has concerned the mind of its contemporaries, and they have given an important role not only in literature, but especially in the iconography. If we go back in artistic and literary scene, the emotional effects caused by the train in man and territory, are still visible chiefly in architectural and engineering works. Along its history, the train has been taken on a dual perspective. It has been considered both, at the same time, as a threat and as a prospect of a better future. Its slim and streamlined shape whistle disappears inside the galleries and its image is very different from that Carducci gave us in the poem " Inno a Satana " in which he described the "beautiful and horrible monster " in "gleaming fire and black clouds of smoke ". Today, the train equipped with better technologies, exceeds any imaginary thought: without rails, wheels, driving, supported by only electromagnetic bearings. The evolution of the train has been great and seems in competition with automobiles and airplanes. The thesis aims to provide a general overview of rail in decline in several areas: artistic, literary, technical and scientific. The pursued objective is to give more attention to train users and try to improve their travel experience regarding comfort in the passenger cabin and the services offered. My investigation was based on high-speed trains because these represents the new forms of cutting-edge transport, characterized not only by the actual speed but also by a consequential reduction of access time to the main urban centers, by an ability to transport a large number of passengers and by a high frequency of trains. Therefore, these features allow high-speed trains to be an efficient alternative for private transport.

Il treno rappresenta uno dei mezzi più importanti nel panorama del trasporto odierno; questo può essere considerato il primo vero e proprio veicolo di massa, che ha rivestito e riveste ancora oggi un ruolo centrale nella struttura politica, economica e sociale di ogni paese. Sin dalle fasi iniziali ha sconvolto i luoghi e le menti dei suoi contemporanei, infatti questi gli avrebbero conferito un ruolo di primo piano non solo in letteratura, ma soprattutto nell’iconografia. Se procediamo a ritroso nel panorama artistico-letterario sono ancora visibili gli effetti emozionali che ha prodotto negli uomini e nel territorio, questi attraverso testimonianze architettoniche e di ingegneria d’avanguardia. Nel corso della sua storia ha anche assunto una duplice prospettiva, essendo considerato sia come una minaccia sia come aspettativa di un futuro migliore. Oggi la sua sagoma slanciata e affusolata sfreccia e sparisce dentro le gallerie e la sua immagine è molto diversa da quella regalataci da Giosuè Carducci all’interno della poesia “Inno a Satana” in cui descriveva il “bello e orribile mostro” tra “bagliori di fuoco e nuvole nere di fumo”. Dotato delle migliori tecnologie, oggi supera qualunque immaginario comune: senza rotaie, senza motrici, senza ruote, sostenuto solo da cuscinetti elettromagnetici. Tale è stata la sua evoluzione fino ad ora, che una nuova competizione lo vede in gara con aerei e automobili. L’elaborato di tesi dunque, mira a dare una panoramica generale del treno declinato nei vari ambiti, sia artistico letterari, sia tecnico-scentifici. L’obiettivo che si prefigge è quello di dare maggiore attenzione all’utente del treno e cercare di migliorare la sua esperienza di viaggio all’interno della carrozza ferroviaria sia per ciò che concerne il comfort sia inerentemente ai servizi offerti. Si è scelto d’indagare sui treni ad alta velocità perché questi rappresentano una delle nuove forme di trasporto d’avanguardia, caratterizzati non solo dalla velocità effettiva, ma anche da una consequenziale riduzione dei tempi di accesso ai principali centri urbani, da una capacità di spostare un numero elevato di passeggeri e da un’elevata frequenza dei treni. Queste caratteristiche consentono dunque all’Alta Velocità di rappresentare effettivamente una valida alternativa al trasporto privato e non solo.
