In the field of works at height, it is very important to have the necessary equipment to perform in safety. For this reason every operator must use specific devices, which are integrated in the so-called PPE (personal protective equipment) family. The main topic of the essay will be a device included in this category, precisely an innovative ascender handle, that every worker has to use during works at height. In the paper all the stages necessary to improve this article will be described, in order to make rope ascending easier. Starting from the peculiar innovation spirit of Aludesign S.p.A., a new idea – cornerstone of the essay – was born: adjusting the standard version of the ascender handle. This update has the main goal to reduce the operator effort during the rise by adding an integrated pulley to the body of the handle. This product must comply with the standards of practicality, lightness and minimal amount of space. The inception of the paper will be a general description of works at height and related personal protetive equipments. Then an analysis of the current commercial products will be made, in order to draw inspiration and find possible lacks. The next step will be the patent search, so as to identify the legal limits that must be considered and respected during the design phase of the product. Afterwards the phase of the regulations will start, with the analysis of all the rules related to safety during vertical disciplines, both in the sports and in the professional fields. At this point the preliminary development of the object will be possible – starting from the creation of a model, passing through many scrupulous tests – until getting to the proper calculation and design phases. The innovation is represented by a device that is definitively applied to the handle, composed by a small block with an integrated wire lever which works on a shaped metal plate containing a pulley. Then the manufacturing and certification steps will follow. The paper ends with a summary of the achieved results and with the description of the future projects.
Nell’ambito delle attività lavorative in quota `e importante avere la strumentazione necessaria per operare in sicurezza. Per questo vengono utilizzate attrezzature specifiche, che rientrano nella categoria dei cosiddetti dispositivi di protezione individuale. Oggetto della tesi sarà uno strumento facente parte di questa categoria, precisamente una maniglia bloccante per risalita, che viene utilizzata da ogni operatore del settore durante i lavori su fune. Nel corso dell’elaborato verranno descritte le fasi utili al miglioramento del prodotto, al fine di semplificare l’ascesa su corda. A partire dallo spirito di innovazione, leitmotiv di Aludesign S.p.A., `e nata l’idea – perno centrale di questa tesi – di modificare la maniglia bloccante già sul mercato. Tale aggiornamento si pone l’obiettivo di ridurre lo sforzo dell’utilizzatore in fase di risalita, posizionando sul corpo della maniglia stessa un assieme comprensivo di puleggia. Questo prodotto dovrà rispettare i canoni di praticità, leggerezza e ingombro ridotto. L’incipit dell’elaborato sarà una descrizione delle attività lavorative in quota e dei relativi dispositivi di protezione individuale. Successivamente verrà effettuata un’analisi dei prodotti attualmente in commercio per trarne spunti e individuarne le carenze. Seguir`a la fase di ricerca brevetti, nella quale verranno evidenziati eventuali limiti legali da tenere in considerazione durante lo studio del prodotto. Verranno poi analizzate le normative che la maniglia dovrà rispettare, con riferimento sia all’ambito lavorativo che a quello alpinistico. A questo punto sarà possibile procedere con lo sviluppo preliminare del prodotto – a partire dalla creazione di un modello, passando poi attraverso numerosi test – sino ad arrivare alla fase di progettazione vera e propria e allo studio del design. L’innovazione consta in uno strumento applicato in modo indivisibile alla maniglia, composto da un tassello con leva in filo integrata che preme sul corpo della maniglia stessa una lamiera sagomata contenente una puleggia. Seguiranno le fasi di produzione e di certificazione. L’elaborato si conclude con un sunto dei risultati ottenuti e con i progetti per il futuro.
