The hall, with an audience of about 200 people, can be widened through the opening of the front façade. In this way, a new central stage configuration is set and the city itself becomes the audience. Particular attention was given to the study of acoustics, which has influenced the whole architectural project since the very beginning, by creating a constant interaction. All the surfaces, carefully orientated, and the selected materials have been verified through Odeon©, a software for acoustical analysis, which proved all the excellent sound qualities of the hall according to each different purposes. The selection of materials and technological solutions, marked towards innovation, sustainability and thermal comfort, has played a major role, as well as the energetic and structural aspects. The steel elements of the floating part and the glued laminated timber elements of the land building were designed during the structural planning phase. A Finite Element Analysis made it possible to verify carefully every single component of the model.

Abstract
Floath is a multifunctional innovative floating theatre, hosted by a faceted volume that communicates with the city through a media façade. A Finite Element Analysis made it possible to verify carefully every single component of the model.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
