Blue and white for clothing : when the traditional meets the modern

Blue and White has always been an important element in the porcelain design. I was born in a city that is famous of producing porcelain. The beautiful blue and white porcelains inspire me a lot in fashion design. China has its own spirit and its culture. Within this cultural context, porcelain blue and white has taken over the unique importance and fundamental history. It represents a heritage not only for China but for the entire world. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has developed a lot during the Yuan Dynasty managing to arrive at the peak of its beauty with the Qing Dynasty, showing in a unique way the beauty of Chinese culture. We understand how the blue and white porcelain represents now an increasingly important source of inspiration in the world of international fashion, managing to take a cue from blue and white elements combined with each other, creating unique performance, assembled using traditional techniques, compose innovative and unique creations design Finally, I present my design of clothing collection. The design will show the style of blue and white porcelain pattern, it will attempt to demonstrate how the application of blue and white porcelain in the fashion design represent innovation and modernity. The application of this style within the field of fashion design is a major trend in the fashion world today, combining sensitivity and taste, leading the development of blue and white porcelain to become increasingly used, playing a key role inside the decor, fully proving an effective element and widely used in clothing design. In this thesis, I introduce the blue and white element from porcelains into my design of clothing collections. I first study history of the blue and white. Second, Analyzing the context of modern fashion design. We understand how the blue and white porcelain represents now an increasingly important source of inspiration in the world of international fashion. Finally, I present my design of clothing collection. The design will show the of blue and white porcelain pattern, it will attempt to demonstrate how the application of blue and white porcelain in the fashion design represent the combination of traditional and modern.
